Gankaku
Gankaku means "Cranes Above Reefs" (the name is taken from one position in this kata - there is a position where such a stork on one leg (as the attacks in self-defense). It is a kaata that is very old, originally named Chinto, then the name was changed by Gichin Funakoshi. This kata is enhanced by Yasutsune Itosu. Gankaku a kata Shorin (although it can be said as a kata Shorei).

Balance and kick sideways. Has 42 movements with the application time of 60 seconds.
